Bad Wolves is an American metal band that has rapidly ascended in the heavy music scene since their formation in 2017. The group debuted with a lineup consisting of vocalist Tommy Vext, drummer John Boecklin, guitarists Doc Coyle and Chris Cain, and bassist Kyle Konkiel. They quickly gained prominence with their breakthrough cover of The Cranberries' hit "Zombie" in 2018, which drew widespread acclaim and catapulted them into the spotlight. Although Tommy Vext departed in 2021, the band continued with new vocalist Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz, formerly of The Acacia Strain, marking a new chapter in their evolution.
Bad Wolves' sound is a robust blend of hard rock and metal, characterized by aggressive riffs, powerful drumming, and a mix of melodic and ferocious vocals. Despite the lineup changes, they've remained prolific, releasing a series of singles and albums that showcase their dynamic range and lyrical depth. From the fierce call-to-arms anthem "Die About It" to the haunting seasonally timed cover "Carol of The Bells," the band maintains a balance between aggressive energy and thought-provoking themes. Their collaborations, such as "Black Thunder" featuring Serj Tankian of System of a Down, indicate their reverence for the broader rock and metal community, while releases like "Dear Monsters (Deluxe)" and the "Sacred Kiss EP" continue to expand their discography and solidify their standing within the genre.
