Pylon was an American post-punk band formed in Athens, Georgia in 1979. The band consisted of Michael Lachowski (vocals, guitar), Vanessa Briscoe Hay (vocals, bass), Randy Bewley (guitar), and Curtis Crowe (drums). Pylon's music was characterized by its angular guitars, driving rhythms, and detached vocals. The band released three albums during its lifetime: "Gyrate" (1980), "Chomp" (1983), and "Chain" (1985). Pylon disbanded in 1989, but reunited in 2004 and continued to perform until 2015.
