Blixa Bargeld is a German musician, composer, and performer known for his groundbreaking work in experimental and industrial music. He’s best recognized as the frontman of Einstürzende Neubauten, a band he co-founded in 1980 that's famous for using custom-built instruments and scrap metal to create their distinctive sound. Blixa was also a longtime guitarist and backing vocalist for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, playing with the group from its early days in the 1980s until 2003.
Beyond his band work, Blixa has collaborated with various artists across genres—including working with Italian composer Teho Teardo on albums like Still Smiling and Nerissimo, which blend melancholic classical textures with electronic and spoken elements.
