STEELHEART

Steelheart is an American rock band that epitomizes the hair metal aesthetic and sound of the early 1990s, known for their soaring vocals and robust guitar riffs. Originating in Connecticut, the group was formed in 1990 by frontman Miljenko Matijevic, whose powerful vocal range became the hallmark of the band's indelible mark on the heavy metal scene. Their self-titled debut album released in 1990 brought them instant acclaim with hits such as "She's Gone" and "I'll Never Let You Go," the latter showcasing Matijevic's impressive multi-octave range and securing the band's place as a prominent voice in the era's glam metal movement.

Over the years, despite facing tumultuous events including a harrowing onstage accident in 1992 that severely injured Matijevic, Steelheart has demonstrated remarkable resilience. They've seen lineup changes and shifts in the musical landscape but have persisted through it all. The band went through a hiatus in the mid-90s before reemerging with new material in the 2000s. Their song "We All Die Young" from the album "Wait" gained renewed attention when it was featured in the 2001 film "Rock Star." In recent years, Steelheart continues to capitalize on their legacy and appeal to both nostalgic fans and new audiences with releases like "Steelheart 30," commemorating three decades since their debut, and reimagined versions of their hits with modern remixes and collaborations, as seen in tracks like "ANGEL EYES (I'LL NEVER LET YOU GO) [Feat. Steviann Matijevic]." The band also explores holiday music with renditions like "The Christmas Song," demonstrating their versatility and enduring presence in the rock genre.
