Hot Boys

Hot Boys, often stylized as Hot Boy$, is an American hip hop group formed in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1997. The group consists of rappers Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G., and Turk, who became notable figures in the Southern rap scene, particularly associated with Cash Money Records. The Hot Boys are known for their raw and energetic style of street rap, and they played a significant role in popularizing the "bounce" subgenre of hip-hop.

The group’s inception marked the beginning of a new wave in the Southern hip-hop landscape. They debuted with "Get It How U Live!!" in 1997, which achieved respectable street success and set the groundwork for their future works. Following up with their second album, "Guerrilla Warfare" in 1999, the Hot Boys solidified their presence in the industry, with the album peaking at number 5 on the Billboard 200. As the members pursued solo careers, they reunited to release "Let Em' Burn" in 2003, a compilation of previously recorded but unreleased tracks. The group's influence is still felt in the Southern rap scene and beyond, with each member continuing to contribute to the music industry in various capacities.
