Deaf Havana

Deaf Havana is a British alternative rock band that has seen their sound evolve significantly since their formation in 2005. Originally hailing from Norfolk, the band was established by lead vocalist James Veck-Gilodi, his brother Matthew Veck-Gilodi, bassist Lee Wilson, and drummer Tom Ogden. Their early music was heavily influenced by post-hardcore, but over the years, they have transition to a more melodic and anthemic rock sound. This maturation in their style has allowed them to reach a broader audience and solidify their standing in the UK music scene.

The band has experienced several lineup changes throughout their career but has remained centered around the strong vocal and songwriting presence of James Veck-Gilodi. Deaf Havana's discography showcases a relentless drive to experiment with their music, which is clearly reflected in their later albums like "RITUALS" and the emotionally charged "All These Countless Nights." With widely popular releases such as "Sinner," "Holy," and "Hell," the band continues to garner critical acclaim. They've also demonstrated their compelling live performance abilities with recordings like "Deaf Havana Live at Brixton Academy" and "Songs From The Roundhouse," capturing their raw energy and connection with the audience. Through their refreshingly honest lyrics and a constant push towards new musical territories, Deaf Havana has managed to create a loyal fanbase and an impressive catalog of work.
