Bitsu, whose real name is Imrane, is a French rapper born in 1999 in the south of France. He started writing music at just 13 years old alongside his brothers and cousins, drawing inspiration from a diverse mix of British folk, French chanson, African music, as well as underground and mainstream American rap from the 2010s. His artistic style has also been notably influenced by the painter Jean-Michel Basquiat. Bitsu launched his career with projects like *Lemon Collection* in 2016 and gained significant attention with his 2017 album *NOMORELEMON* and the single “HALLA,” which made waves in the French-speaking Soundcloud scene. He has collaborated with notable producers such as Croisade, Arthrn, and DJ YUNG VAMP, and he is a member of the Way Boto collective. Despite interest from record labels, Bitsu chose to remain independent and co-founded the Amoranarchy collective, continuing to impress with his avant-garde approach to rap and trap music.
His sound is marked by a fusion of trap beats with electronic and hip-hop elements, ranging from energetic and intense tracks to more mellow, atmospheric pieces. With songs like "Evangelion Freestyle," "T$U," and "Cokaine," Bitsu has built a solid fanbase and a reputation for pushing boundaries within the French hip-hop scene. His unique style and steady output indicate a bright future ahead in the music industry.
