Lady Laistee, born Aline Christophe on April 20, 1972, in Saint-Claude, Guadeloupe, is a French rapper known for her powerful storytelling and unique style. She began her career in the early 1990s as part of the collective "Le Complot des Bas Fonds," alongside other notable figures like Fabe and Koma. Her solo career took off with the release of her debut album, *Black Mama*, in 1999, which included the hit single *Et si…?*, a tribute to her brother Rudy. This album was a significant success, selling over 250,000 copies of the single. Lady Laistee continued to make waves with her subsequent albums, including *Hip-Hop Therapy* in 2001 and *Second souffle* in 2005, showcasing her resilience and talent despite facing personal challenges, including a severe stroke that left her partially paralyzed.

Throughout her career, Lady Laistee has collaborated with numerous artists and has been involved in various projects, including participating in mixtapes like JoeyStarr's *Armagedon* in 2011. She has also published a book, *Dans la lumière*, in 2015, where she shares her life experiences and struggles. Her music often reflects her personal journey and her ability to overcome adversity, making her a respected figure in the French hip-hop scene.
