The Wizards

**The Wizards** are a hard-hitting 70s-inspired heavy rock band hailing from Bilbao in Spain’s Basque Country. Formed in 2013 after rowdy backyard parties fueled by loud music, liquor, and a shared love for bands like Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, they channel occult rock vibes and garage-band energy. They gained local fame by winning Bilbao’s Villa de Bilbao Metal contest in 2014, shortly after self-releasing their debut demo *Plagues*. Their self-titled debut LP arrived in 2015, recorded at Silver Sound Studio and mixed by punk producer Mikel Biffs, and quickly sold out its initial vinyl and CD runs. Known for tracks like "Gravepisser" and "Curse of Hecate," their sound blends fuzzy riffs, psychedelic grooves, and a DIY spirit straight out of the underground.
