Rika

Rika, born Chandrika Darbari in 2000, is a British-Indian pop singer-songwriter hailing from north-west London. Raised with a rich multicultural background—her father is Indian and her mother Serbian—she began exploring music early, joining school choirs and honing her craft before graduating from Berklee College of Music. Influenced by stars like Taylor Swift and Mariah Carey, Rika creatively blends her heritage into her music, incorporating Bollywood and Punjabi elements in tracks like *Hold On To Me* and *Left to Love*. She gained recognition with her debut single *For Peace In Syria*, which supported UNICEF, and her song *No Need* topped British charts and secured BBC Radio's song of the week. Over the years, Rika has earned several awards, including Best Female UK Act at the BritAsia TV Music Awards 2019 and Artist of the Year Asia at the 2022 Urban Music Awards.
