Norcos Y Horchata

Norcos Y Horchata is a Detroit-based punk rock band born out of a solo project by guitarist and songwriter Amado Movado during the early days of the pandemic as a way to maintain his sanity. What started as a solo effort soon evolved into a full band with friends Dougie Tangent and Roman Wonsul joining in. Their debut album, *Forever Disheveled* (2022), marked Amado’s impressive emergence as a frontman, delivering relatable, catchy three-chord rock songs with emotional depth and punk attitude. The band's energy and songwriting have only grown stronger, with their 2025 release *precious little album* continuing to deliver gritty, high-energy punk that keeps the spirit of Detroit’s underground scene alive.

Known for blending raw intensity with melodic hooks, Norcos Y Horchata pays respectful homage to Detroit punk heritage, notably covering local classics like Cinecyde’s “Don’t Come Crying to Me.” Their music channels the urgency and unpolished authenticity that defines the region's street punk legacy.
