Gertrud Tröster is a German mandolinist and music educator. She studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München and the Conservatoire de Paris, and has performed extensively throughout Europe and Asia. Tröster is known for her virtuosic technique and her passionate interpretations of both classical and contemporary music. She has recorded numerous albums, including "Gertrud Tröster plays Jiro Nakano: Jewels For The Mandolin" and "Herbert Baumann: Three Concertos." Tröster is also a dedicated teacher, and she has given masterclasses and workshops around the world.
