Mushi Mushi Orquesta

Mushi Mushi Orquesta is a seven-member ensemble from Montevideo, Uruguay, known for their original instrumental compositions. Formed in the summer of 2008, the band's music combines influences from the Balkans and the folklore of the Río de la Plata, creating a unique sound that is challenging to define. They gained popularity in the Montevideo music circuit and began performing in Buenos Aires, where they connected with bands like Shona and Fémina. In 2010, their first album earned them a nomination for the Graffiti Awards in the Best Instrumental Music category. Their second album, "Otro cuerpo, otro esqueleto," released in 2013 with support from the Fondo Nacional de Música, further solidified their musical direction and artistic vision, earning them additional nominations for the Graffiti Awards.
