The Dirt Radicals are a punk rock band that originated from the remnants of the Singapore-based pop-punk group Pug Jelly. Formed in 2009 by Australian brothers Sam and Matt Cooper, along with Japanese guitarist Masashi Kimura, the band aimed to create energetic and dynamic music. Their debut album, *... I've Got A Rad Feelin' About This*, was released in 2010 and featured catchy tracks like "Pack Your Bags" and "Osaka Sundown." The band gained popularity in Southeast Asia, performing at major festivals such as Java Rockin' Land and Baybeats. They later moved to London and released their sophomore album, *Enter Destroyer*, which marked a shift towards a darker, heavier sound while maintaining their punk rock essence.
The Dirt Radicals have been influenced by various punk bands and have evolved their sound over time, reflecting personal growth and life experiences. Their music often explores themes of societal disintegration and personal struggles, making their albums a reflection of their maturation as musicians. With a strong presence in both Singapore and London, The Dirt Radicals continue to captivate audiences with their energetic live performances and evolving musical style.
