Noltem

Noltem is an atmospheric black metal band known for their fluid and atmospheric soundscapes, often compared to bands like Agalloch and Panopticon. Formed initially by Max Johnson, the band has evolved significantly over the years. After releasing an early demo *Hymn of the Wood* in 2005, Noltem experienced a long hiatus before reviving and producing new music. The band's current lineup includes Max Johnson on guitars and keyboards, John Kerr on drums and vocals, and Shalin Shah on bass. In 2015, they released the EP *Mannaz*, followed by *Illusions in the Wake*, their debut full-length album, released in 2021 via Transcending Obscurity Records. This album marks a significant milestone, offering a rich tapestry of melodies and moods that capture the essence of atmospheric metal.
