Soumya Rit
Soumya Rit is a rising composer in the Tollywood music scene. He is the son of Goutam Nag, the dean of the faculty of fine arts at Rabindra Bharati University. Soumya's musical journey initially deviated from his father's path, as he was inspired by modern songwriters like Kabir Suman and Nachiketa. However, he now incorporates elements of classical music into his compositions. Notably, his work on films like *Abyakto* and *Guldasta* has garnered attention, with the latter's song "Rang Rasiya" trending on social media. Soumya aspires to bring an international touch to his scores, drawing inspiration from renowned composers like Hans Zimmer. Most recently, he composed the music for *The Red Files*, a Bengali film based on the Bantala rape case of 1990. His compositions often blend traditional and modern elements, reflecting his diverse musical influences.
