Sunshine State

Sunshine State is a Toronto-based band featuring core members James Bryan and Aleza Coldevin. The project began as a sort of musical therapy between James, an established Canadian guitarist, producer, and songwriter known for his work with top artists like Nelly Furtado and Fefe Dobson, and Aleza, who joined the music scene after moving to Toronto from Montreal. Their collaboration quickly blossomed, with Aleza touring with James' other bands and contributing vocals to his solo projects. Sunshine State’s sound is enriched by talented musicians including Marc Rogers on bass, David Gouveia and Daniel Stone on percussion, and guest drummer Davide Direnzo, blending soulful melodies with funky Latin rhythms to create a warm and inviting musical vibe.
