Cauldron is a Canadian heavy metal band that sprung from the ashes of the group Goat Horn. After Goat Horn disbanded in 2006, front-man Jason Decay (bassist/vocalist) sought to continue his journey in music and formed Cauldron along with guitarist Ian Chains and drummer Chris Rites. The band is known for their traditionalist approach to heavy metal, often drawing influence from the classic sounds of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) and 80s metal bands.

Their debut album 'Chained to the Nite', released in 2009, put Cauldron on the metal map as purveyors of authentic, old-school metal, shunning the more modern metal trends. With subsequent releases such as 'Burning Fortune' and 'Tomorrow's Lost', the band continued to build upon their sound with a blend of catchy riffs, melodic sensibilities, and Decay's distinctive vocals. The band’s continued commitment to their roots can be seen in their 2021 remastered release of 'Into The Cauldron', which keeps alive the spirit that first invigorated their fanbase. Despite various lineup changes throughout the years, Cauldron has remained a steadfast presence in the international metal scene, attracting fans who long for the raw energy and earnestness of 80s metal in today's music landscape.
