Batucada Tamarindo

Batucada Tamarindo is a Brazilian band rooted in the rich traditions of Afro-Brazilian percussion, particularly inspired by the batuque and other Afro-diasporic rhythms. Based in the cosmopolitan city of São Paulo, the group is formed by artists such as Maurício Badé (percussion and vocals), Alysson Bruno (percussion and vocals), and Abuhl Júnior, among others, and is known for their dynamic live performances and community spirit. The band’s music weaves together traditional chants and original compositions, drawing influence from coco de roda, maracatu rural, and the festive sounds of Brazilian street music, creating a vibrant, celebratory atmosphere.
