Earl Grant (1931–1970) was an American vocalist and keyboardist who found mainstream success in the late 1950s and early ’60s, blending pop with jazz, easy listening, and a dash of exotica. He became best known for his smooth baritone voice and his ability to front songs from behind the keys—often on organ—giving his performances a warm, lounge-ready feel that stood out on radio and television of the era.
His biggest hit was “The End” (1958), which reached the Top 10 in the U.S. and helped establish him as a reliable chart presence. Grant also became a familiar face on variety TV, including appearances on *The Ed Sullivan Show*, and his recordings frequently mixed vocals with instrumental showcases like “Malagueña.” He died in 1970 following a car accident.
