Kutsal Evcimen

Kutsal Evcimen is a renowned Turkish folk musician born on July 10, 1975, in Istanbul, Turkey. He is originally from Tokat and has been active in the music scene since 1999. Evcimen's music career began with his album-duet "Dağlar Kızı" alongside Cem Çelebi. He is particularly known for his skill with the bağlama, a traditional Turkish stringed instrument. Over the years, he has released several solo albums, including "Ahuzar" in 2003 and "Vay Deli Gönül" in 2008. Evcimen has also been involved in various television programs and concerts, both in Turkey and internationally, such as the Asian Festival in Japan.

Evcimen not only contributes to Turkish folk music through his performances but also through education. He founded the Kutsal Evcimen Music Center in 2001, where he teaches folk music to hundreds of students. This endeavor has helped popularize Turkish folk music among young people. His recent releases include tracks like "Gurbet Elde Akşam Oldu," "Turnam," and "Keyfim Yok," showcasing his continued dedication to the genre.
