Michel Sardou

Michel Sardou is a French singer-songwriter who's been a major figure in French popular music since the 1970s. Born in Paris on January 26, 1947, Sardou comes from a show business family - his parents were both performers. He rose to fame in the early 70s with hits like "Les Bals Populaires" and "La Maladie d'Amour". Known for tackling social and political themes in his lyrics, some of Sardou's songs have stirred up controversy over the years. But that hasn't stopped him from becoming one of France's best-selling and most enduring music artists, with a career spanning over five decades.
