He worked with notable musicians such as Frank Wright, Sunny Murray, and the Art Ensemble of Chicago. Notable recordings include his work on albums like *Your Prayer* with Frank Wright and *Africanasia* with the Art Ensemble of Chicago. His solo work includes the album *Scorpio*. Jones passed away in 1998 in New York City.
