Aslan Faction

Aslan Faction is an aggrotech music project formed in late 1999 near Oxford, UK, by Anthony Mather and Lee Lauer. The duo combined their unique influences and backgrounds—Mather is also known for his work with Tactical Sekt, while Lauer has ties to Killing Ophelia—to create a dark, industrial electro sound marked by aggressive beats and intense atmospheres. The band's name reflects a blend of ideas: "Aslan," inspired by the noble lion character from C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia symbolizing strength and spirituality, and "Faction," hinting at radical, forceful beliefs.

Between 2002 and 2003, Aslan Faction released notable albums such as *Blunt Force Trauma* and *Sin-Drome Of Separation*, which helped establish their presence in the aggrotech and industrial scenes. Despite eventually splitting in 2004, their music remains appreciated among fans of dark electro and industrial music for its raw energy and thematic depth.
