Kitoko Bibarwa

Kitoko Bibarwa, known professionally as Kitoko, is a Rwandan singer and artist celebrated for his Afro-fusion style, which blends Congolese flavors with native Rwandan sounds. Born Patrick Bibarwa, he began his musical journey singing in a local church choir. In January 2010, he released his debut album, *Ifaranga*, which gained significant success in Rwanda and Uganda. Kitoko has performed at various concerts and festivals, including the Rwandan Cultural Festival in Denmark and events in the U.S., France, and Belgium. He is a two-time winner of the Salax Awards in the Best Afrobeat Artiste category. Some of his notable releases include "Rurashonga" and more recent tracks like "Uri Imana" and "Gahoro."

Kitoko's music career has been marked by international performances and awards, showcasing his unique blend of traditional and contemporary styles. Despite announcing his retirement from music in 2013, he has continued to release music over the years, maintaining his influence in the Rwandan music scene. His recent releases reflect his ongoing contribution to the vibrant musical landscape of East Africa.
