King of Foxes

King of Foxes is a Canadian indie rock band led by singer-songwriter Olivia Street, based in Edmonton, Alberta. Olivia, a former member of the Juno-nominated reggae group Souljah Fyah, chose the name King of Foxes because she liked the dual image of foxes being both "the hunter and the hunted," which reflects a balance of fierceness and vulnerability. The band has released three critically acclaimed albums: *Golden Armour* (2016), *Salt & Honey* (2019), and *Twilight of the Empire* (2022). Their latest album reached #1 on the CKUA Radio charts and has been praised for its depth and creativity. King of Foxes’ music is often described as indie rock with a blend of rock and roll and pop elements.

Olivia brings a dynamic blend of influences from classic and alternative rock artists, and she is known for her strong songwriting paired with engaging performances. The band has performed at several prominent Canadian festivals and has opened for well-known acts such as Barenaked Ladies and Sam Roberts Band. Olivia was classically trained on violin before moving into punk and guitar, showing her broad musical background. King of Foxes continues to gain recognition in the Canadian indie scene and beyond, delivering music that is both emotionally resonant and sonically compelling.
