The Fatty Acids

The Fatty Acids are a Milwaukee-born indie rock crew known for whipping up frenetic, genre-blurring jams with a psychedelic punch. Formed in the late 2000s, this crew—featuring Josh Evert, Katie Lafond, Matthew Sandstedt, and Adam Hove—built a reputation for their electrifying live shows and playful experimentation, mashing synth-pop, garage rock, and art-punk into something uniquely Midwestern and weirdly danceable. Over the years, they’ve dropped quirky releases like *Boléro* and *Dogs of Entertainment*, alongside lo-fi oddities like *Shitfolk* and the cheekily titled *Clown Nose Cliché Alien and Rainbow Gradient Smiley EP*. Whether tearing up DIY venues or radio studios (like their *Live on WMSE 12/14/11* session), The Fatty Acids channel equal parts existential musings and carnival-esque chaos, leaving a trail of confetti and existential dread in their wake.
