Plow United is an American rock band formed in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1992. The band consists of Brian McGee on vocals and guitar, Sean Rule on drums, and Joel Tannenbaum on bass. They are known for their fast-paced punk rock sound, which incorporates elements of pop, thrashcore, and hardcore. Their lyrics have sometimes been associated with the emo genre. Initially named Plow, they changed their name to Plow United in 1995 due to a naming conflict with another band. The band released several albums, including their self-titled debut in 1995 and "Goodnight Sellout" in 1996. They gained popularity and toured extensively before disbanding in 1997. However, they reunited in 2011 and have since continued to perform and release new music.
Some of their notable releases include "Goodnight Sellout," "Narcolepsy," and more recent works like "Delco" and "Marching Band." Their music has been well-received in the punk scene, and they have shared stages with prominent bands such as Lagwagon and At the Drive-In. Despite being offered opportunities with major labels, Plow United chose to maintain their independent status during their initial run.
