Mungbean is an indie pop band from Los Angeles, California. The band consists of lead singer and guitarist Max Kakacek, bassist and vocalist Julia Kugel, and drummer and vocalist Max Henry. Mungbean's music is characterized by its catchy melodies, jangly guitars, and introspective lyrics. The band has released two EPs, "Falling in Love and Not Dying" (2019) and "28" (2021), as well as a number of singles. Mungbean has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and has shared the stage with bands such as Snail Mail, Soccer Mommy, and Beach Bunny.
