Istvan Matuz

István Matuz is a Hungarian flutist, composer, and professor, born in 1947 in Nagykőrös, Hungary. He graduated from the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in 1970 and has since built a distinguished career specializing in the flute, particularly focusing on Hungarian flute compositions. Matuz is recognized for premiering contemporary Hungarian flute works and has received awards for these achievements.
