Creeper is an English rock band hailing from Southampton, originally formed in 2014. The group quickly carved out a distinct niche within the punk rock and horror punk scenes, utilizing a blend of theatricality, infectious hook-laden songs, and dark romanticism. The band consists of vocalist Will Gould, guitarists Ian Miles and Oliver Burdett, keyboardist and second vocalist Hannah Greenwood, bassist Sean Scott, and drummer Dan Bratton. Creeper's sound skilfully navigates between punk rock energy, gothic atmosphere, and glam rock flamboyance, drawing comparisons to bands like AFI and My Chemical Romance.
Following their acclaimed 2017 debut album "Eternity, In Your Arms," Creeper continued to evolve with subsequent releases. Their storytelling approach and character-driven concepts reached new heights with their dramatic second album, "Sex, Death & The Infinite Void" released in 2020, which delved into an ambitious narrative of love, mortality, and existential despair. In the wake of that album, Creeper delivered a follow-up EP, "American Noir," in 2021. This EP served as an epilogue to their second album, plunging further into the transformative and shadowy world they have created with tracks like "Midnight" and "America At Night." Despite the gloom in their themes, Creeper's music remains anthemic, resonating with a growing fanbase drawn to their unique fusion of sound and storytelling.
