A Static Lullaby was an American post-hardcore band that originated from Chino Hills, California, formed in 2001. The band's lineup underwent several changes over the years, but the foundation was laid by lead vocalist Joe Brown and guitarist/vocalist Dan Arnold. Fusing their hardcore energy with melodic interventions, A Static Lullaby made a significant mark on the post-hardcore scene with their intense live performances and emotionally driven lyrics.
Their initial success was bolstered by the release of their full-length debut album, "...And Don't Forget To Breathe," in 2003, which garnered critical acclaim and gained them a loyal fanbase. As they evolved, their sound also developed, with subsequent albums such as "Faso Latido" in 2005 and their eponymous album "A Static Lullaby" in 2006, showcasing a more refined and expansive approach to their genre. "Rattlesnake!" in 2008 continued this progression, demonstrating the band's willingness to experiment and push their musical boundaries. The group disbanded in 2012, but not before leaving behind a strong legacy and influencing a new generation of post-hardcore acts. Their last EP effort, "Cinematic Attractions," was released posthumously and served as a final goodbye to their fans, encapsulating the dynamic and fervent spirit that A Static Lullaby was known for throughout their career.
