Elvin Hoxha Ganiyev is a talented violinist born in 1997 in Ankara, Turkey, to an Albanian father and an Azerbaijani mother. He comes from a family of musicians; his mother was a pianist, and his father a cellist. Ganiyev began playing the violin at the age of five and gave his first orchestral concert at eight under the direction of his grandfather, Server Ganiyev, a renowned concertmaster of the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra. He has performed with numerous prestigious orchestras, including the Moscow Virtuosi and the Turkish Presidential Symphony Orchestra, and has worked with notable conductors like Zubin Mehta and Placido Domingo. Ganiyev holds a Bachelor's degree from Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Spain and is currently pursuing his Master's degree at Hochschule für Musik Theater und Medien Hannover in Germany.
Ganiyev has received several awards and honors in international competitions, showcasing his exceptional talent. He was awarded the Aydın Gün Encouragement Award in 2019, recognizing his potential as a young classical musician. His performances have taken him to prominent concert halls worldwide, such as Carnegie Hall and the Berlin Philharmonic Hall. Ganiyev continues to elevate his career, recently achieving second place in the Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition, further solidifying his position as a rising star in the classical music scene.
