Charl Delemarre
Charl Delemarre is a Dutch singer-songwriter from Rotterdam who’s been crafting bluesy, heartfelt pop since his 2017 debut *CHARL*. Born in 1990, he studied at the Rotterdams Conservatorium and gained early recognition by winning the 2014 Grote Prijs van Nederland, followed by festival slots at Eurosonic Noorderslag and Pinkpop. His introspective lyrics, sung in Dutch after initially performing in English, reflect a shift inspired by artists like Ramses Shaffy.
Delemarre’s second album *Paradijs* (2022) emerged after a creative retreat at a former monastery, revealing a deeper, more atmospheric sound. Alongside fan favorites like *Laat Me Vallen* and *Hartslag*, his work blends indie rock grit with poetic vulnerability, earning him a dedicated following through Sony Music releases and intimate live performances.
