Over the years, they have performed extensively across Mexico and Spain, sharing stages with notable bands like Rosendo, Reincidentes, and Extremoduro. They have participated in various festivals, including Festimad, Viña Rock, and the Arezzo Wave Festival in Italy. The band's name is inspired by Nguyen Van Troy, a Vietnamese guerrilla fighter, reflecting their socially conscious lyrics, which often address injustices and support for indigenous communities. Vantroi's music also covers themes of love, heartbreak, and everyday life.

Their discography includes albums like *¡No Nos Moverán*, *Bajo Palabra*, *¡¿Otra Vez Frijoles?!*, and *Para No Morir de Locos*.
