Graeme Jefferies is a New Zealand musician known for his contributions to the post-punk scene. He began his career in the early 1980s when he co-founded the band Nocturnal Projections with his brother Peter Jefferies. After Nocturnal Projections disbanded in 1983, the brothers went on to form This Kind Of Punishment, releasing several albums. Graeme later formed The Cakekitchen, a project that allowed him to showcase his solo compositions. The Cakekitchen gained recognition for its unique sound and even appeared on the soundtrack for the 1999 film "Sonnenallee" with the song of the same name.
Graeme Jefferies has also explored other musical ventures and collaborations throughout his career. His work often reflects a DIY ethos and a deep involvement in New Zealand's vibrant music scene. In addition to his musical endeavors, Graeme has written a memoir titled "Time Flowing Backwards," which chronicles his experiences and insights from over three decades in the music industry.
