Austrian Death Machine

Austrian Death Machine is an American metal band formed in San Diego, California, in 2008, that stands out for its unique blend of heavy metal music and satire, humorously themed around Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. The band was created by As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis as a parody and homage to Schwarzenegger's films, blending the relentless aggression of metal with tongue-in-cheek impersonations and catchphrases from the actor's iconic roles. Their songs often feature over-the-top, machismo-laden lyrics, coupled with thrash metal riffs and double bass drumming, creating a sound that is both powerful and playfully self-aware.

Expanding upon their Schwarzenegger-centric universe, Austrian Death Machine has released a series of albums with fittingly bombastic titles. Their first album "Total Brutal" was released in 2008, which was then followed by "Double Brutal" in 2009, a double album consisting of one disc of original material and a second disc of covers and sketches. The band continued this pattern with releases like "A Very Brutal Christmas" (2008) and "Jingle All the Way" (2011), the latter clearly referencing Arnold's holiday-themed family comedy. Their most recent full-length album, "Triple Brutal," dropped in 2014, once again delivering a humorous yet ferocious metal assault on the eardrums, faithful to their established persona of muscular riffs and relentless parody.
