Giorgi Latso

Giorgi Latso, born Giorgi Latsabidze on April 15, 1978, in Tbilisi, Georgia, is a renowned Georgian-American pianist and composer. His fascination with the piano began at the age of three, and by six, his family had secured a piano, allowing him to start formal music education. He was accepted into one of Tbilisi's Music Schools at seven and went on to study at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, where he earned multiple degrees with the highest honors, including the Georgian Presidential Prize. Latso continued his education in Germany and Austria before earning a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California. He has performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, South America, and the United States, and has been praised for his impeccable technique and musical depth.

Giorgi Latso is also recognized for his composition work, including winning the Best Music Award at the Bologna Film Festival for "Waltz-Fantasy." His performances have taken him to prestigious venues like the Vienna Philharmonic and Berliner Philharmonie. As a recording artist, he has interpreted a wide range of repertoire with great style and emotional depth. Additionally, he is a member of "The Latsos" piano duo, often performing with his partner Anna Fedorova-Latso in piano four-hands concerts.
