Jēkabs Jančevskis

Jēkabs Jančevskis is a talented Latvian composer and conductor, born on April 18, 1992. He began his musical journey at Riga Music School No. 1, where he studied piano, and later attended the Riga Cathedral Choir School to pursue choir conducting. Jančevskis furthered his education at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, studying composition under Professor Selga Mence and later under Jānis Petraškevics for his master's degree. His compositions, particularly in the realm of choir music, have gained international recognition and are performed by renowned choirs worldwide. Jančevskis' work often explores deep emotional themes and historical events, reflecting a blend of emotional depth and compositional wisdom.

One of his notable works is the album *Aeternum*, which features a collection of his choral pieces, including *Atsalums* and *Mater Amabilis*.
