Casapalma

Casapalma is a gifted Spanish band known for passionately embracing the vibrant Cantabrian traditions of northern Spain. Their debut album, *Montañesas*, released in 2023, celebrates the rich folk heritage of Cantabria, weaving together local highland traditions with modern elements. The band's music not only honors its roots but also ventures into contemporary styles like alternative pop and experimental electronics. Key members include Irene Atienza on vocals and Yoel Molina on guitar and keyboards, both from the Cantabrian town of Cabuérniga. Their work has been well-received, with *Montañesas* topping the Iberian Roots Music Chart in April 2024.

Casapalma's music includes traditional songs such as "Callejuca callejuca," "Asómate a la ventana," and "Con el rocío de la mañana," showcasing their dedication to revitalizing and reinterpreting Cantabrian folk music.
