Black Foxxes

Black Foxxes are an English alternative rock band formed in Exeter in 2013. The core of the band centered around lead vocalist and guitarist Mark Holley, with a rotating lineup supporting the project's evolving sound through the years. The band first garnered critical and fan attention with the release of their debut album, "I'm Not Well," in 2016, which introduced their blend of raw, emotive lyrics and a sound that fused grunge and post-rock influences. Following up with their sophomore effort, "Reiði," in 2018, Black Foxxes continued to solidify their place in the alternative music scene, further diversifying their sound with a more expansive and atmospheric approach, exemplified in tracks like "JOY" and "Sæla."

By the time they released their self-titled third album, "Black Foxxes," in 2020, and its subsequent deluxe version, the band had fully hit their stride, demonstrating a mature command of dynamic contrasts and introspective songwriting. With tracks such as "Witch Mountain," "Badlands," and "Jungle Skies," the band continued to explore a range of themes from mental health to personal struggle, all while maintaining a distinctive sonic identity that weaves together visceral energy and poignant melodies. Despite the pandemic’s impact on the music industry, Black Foxxes managed to push boundaries and experiment with their sound, showcasing their ability to evolve with each release.
