Skerryvore

Formed in 2004 on the tiny Isle of Tiree in Scotland's Inner Hebrides, Skerryvore is a dynamic band that blends traditional Scottish music with the sounds of rock, pop, and Americana to create a unique fusion that resonates with audiences worldwide. Named after a lighthouse that stands on a remote reef off of their native island, the band initially started as a quartet with brothers Daniel and Martin Gillespie, along with Fraser West and Alec Dalglish. Over the years, Skerryvore has evolved into an electrifying eight-piece band with the addition of Craig Espie, Jodie Bremaneson, Alan Scobie, and Scott Wood, each bringing their own musical influences and talents to the group's vibrant and melodic sound.

Skerryvore's journey has taken them far from their Hebridean roots to international stages, garnering a passionate following and winning awards such as the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards' Live Act of the Year in 2011. The band's discography showcases their growth and musical exploration, boasting albums like "Evo," celebrated for its energetic tracks and innovation, and "Live Across Scotland," a testament to their compelling live performances. Singles like "Angel of Christmas" and "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" show their ability to touch hearts with festive spirit, while "You & I" and its various renditions demonstrate their skill in crafting songs that blend emotive lyrics with anthemic soundscapes. Skerryvore's dedication to their craft and their heritage continues to propel them to new creative heights, uniting fans under the universal language of music.
