Abyss Above

Abyss Above is a five-piece deathcore band hailing from Slovakia, specifically from the city of Prešov. Formed in 2015, the band has been active in the metal scene, releasing several notable tracks and EPs, including their recent EP "Embrace the Abyss" in June 2023 via Seek & Strike. Their music often explores themes of pain, dissonance, and existential crises, as evident in songs like "Vain" and "Tenebrae." The band's lineup includes members such as Erik on vocals, Martin Mikuška on guitar, Tomáš Gladič on guitar, and Jozef Ronto on drums. Abyss Above aims to tour Europe and perform as many shows abroad as possible, drawing inspiration from bands like The Acacia Strain and Black Tongue.
