Hands Like Houses

Hands Like Houses is an Australian rock band hailing from Canberra, formed in 2008. The band consists of Trenton Woodley (lead vocals), Matt Cooper (lead guitar), Alex Pearson (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Joel Tyrrell (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Matt Parkitny (drums). They quickly gained prominence in the post-hardcore scene with their dynamic blend of melody and post-rock influences. Their debut full-length album "Ground Dweller," released in 2012, established their sound with a mix of anthemic choruses and complex instrumentations, earning them a dedicated following.

With their subsequent albums, "Unimagine" (2013), "Dissonants" (2016), and "Anon." (2018), Hands Like Houses continued to refine their approach, pushing the boundaries of their genre while keeping their signature powerful lyricism and technical proficiency. Their versatility is also showcased through reimagined versions of their own tracks in the EP "reimagine" (2014) and their triple j Like A Version performance of 'Shimmer.' With a reputation for high-energy live performances and a connection to their fans, Hands Like Houses have carved out their niche in the global rock landscape, unafraid to evolve their sound with each release. Singles like "Drift," "The Water," and "Space" further exhibit the band's commitment to creating fresh and emotive music that resonates with a broad audience.
