After The Burial

After The Burial is an American progressive metalcore band hailing from Twin Cities, Minnesota, founded in 2004. The group has carved out a significant place for themselves within the metal scene, known for their complex riffs, relentless energy, and a seamless blend of technical proficiency and emotional depth. Their distinct sound integrates progressive metal with aspects of deathcore, often characterized by down-tuned guitars, polyrhythmic structures, and a rich atmosphere that buoy their heavy yet melodic compositions.

Over the years, After The Burial have built a robust discography, with "Forging a Future Self" marking their full-length debut in 2006, followed by a continuous evolution through albums such as "Rareform" and "In Dreams." The remake of "Rareform" offered fans re-recorded versions of its tracks with an increased production quality and new vocal performances. Their 2016 release "Dig Deep," which they subsequently released an instrumental version of, was a cathartic and defining album that came after the tragic passing of founding guitarist Justin Lowe. With each release, including the powerful "Evergreen" in 2019, After The Burial has demonstrated resilience and continued innovation, solidifying their presence as a force to be reckoned with in the metal community.
