Romain Nosbaum

Romain Nosbaum is a Swiss-born pianist known for his intelligent, subtle, and technically perfect playing style that focuses on musical depth rather than showy gestures. Starting piano at age seven, he completed his studies at conservatories in Luxembourg, Metz, Basel, Bern, and Salzburg, building a reputation as a passionate soloist and chamber musician. He often performs with vocalists, including his sister Véronique, and has a particular affinity for romantic repertoire and contemporary music. His solo recordings, including piano works by Albena Petrovic Vratchanska, have received critical acclaim for their personal interpretations and variety.

Nosbaum’s musical heritage is rich—his grandmother was a pianist connected to greats like Alfred Cortot and Clara Haskil. Beyond performing, he is also dedicated to teaching piano.
