Pegboy

Pegboy is a hard-edged punk rock band hailing from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1990 by former Naked Raygun guitarist John Haggerty, his brother Joe Haggerty on drums, bassist Steve Saylors, and vocalist Larry Damore. The band's gritty sound and intense energy are hallmarks of their music, blending the raw aggression of punk with hard-hitting melodies that resonate with fans of the genre. Pegboy made a notable entry into the punk scene with their debut album "Strong Reaction," released in 1990. The record quickly established the group as a formidable presence within the punk community, thanks to its anthemic songs and fierce sound.

As they progressed, Pegboy continued to build upon their reputation for uncompromising and emotionally charged music. They followed up with their sophomore effort, "Earwig," in 1994, which further solidified their status. The band's relentless touring and the consistency of their material, including the "Fore" EP in 1993 and the "Three Chord Monte" EP in 1990, kept their fanbase engaged and expanded their reach. With the release of "Cha-Cha Damore" in 1997, Pegboy demonstrated their staying power, delivering another dose of their impassioned punk rock. Despite not being prolific in their releases, the band's influence and the cult following they garnered ensure that their music remains revered in the punk realm.
