Yasuharu Konishi is a Japanese musician, DJ, and producer best known as a founding member of the iconic Shibuya-kei group Pizzicato Five. Active since the 1980s, Konishi helped shape the breezy, retro-futuristic sound that blended elements of pop, jazz, lounge music, and dance into a playful, stylish mix. After Pizzicato Five disbanded in 2001, he continued to stay busy, producing music, remixing tracks, and scoring soundtracks for TV dramas and films. Known for his eclectic taste and sharp sense of style, Konishi remains a key figure in Japan’s pop and club scenes, consistently bringing a sense of fun and sophistication to his work.
