Lisette Spinnler is a Swiss jazz singer born on December 17, 1976, in Basel. She grew up in Wittinsburg and began playing the piano at the age of ten, later starting voice lessons at seventeen. Spinnler studied jazz singing at the Music Academy Basel under Sandy Patton and Susanne Abbuehl from 1999 to 2002. She formed her own quartet in 1999 and released her debut album *In Between* in 2004. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with various musicians, including Theodosii Spassov, Domenic Landolf, and Christoph Stiefel. Spinnler has performed at numerous jazz festivals in Switzerland and abroad, including the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Stimmen-Festival in Lörrach. She has also received several awards, such as the Solistenpreis at the Montreux Off-Festival in 2001 and the Spartenpreis Musik des Kantons Basel-Landschaft in 2016.
Spinnler's discography includes albums like *Voice It - But Beautiful* (2006), *Siawaloma* (2009), *Bima Sakti* (2012), and *Sounds Between Falling Leaves* (2017). She has been a lecturer at the Jazz Campus Basel since 2006, teaching jazz majors.
