Andre Maaker

Andre Maaker is a versatile and acclaimed musician from Estonia, known for his skillful and unique approach to the guitar. Born on June 9, 1980, he began his guitar studies under the guidance of jazz guitarist Tiit Paulus. Maaker's musical style spans a wide range of genres, including jazz, rock, folk, pop, electronic, and classical music. He is comfortable in various settings, from classical chamber music and free improvisation to folk and jazz. As a composer, Maaker has created pieces for saxophone orchestra, guitar quintet, string quartet, children's choirs, and solo guitar. He has collaborated with numerous acclaimed musicians and has released three solo guitar albums. Additionally, Maaker has worked as a lecturer at the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy, teaching guitar, ensemble, and improvisation.

Maaker's musical collaborations include working with notable artists such as Hedvig Hanson, with whom he released the album *You Bring Me Joy* in 2005. This album showcases his smooth playing style, blending Latin, classical, and folk influences.
